Our students tell us their opinions and suggestions
Isabel Orduna reports
"It's been great working in Comenius. We have had the oportunity to meet people from other countries and learn about them. It is important to be aware of our own identity and show it, so we break stereotypes."

Escuela de Poraj.JPG (414056 bytes)The project tries to join European countries and break stereotypes. Under the generic title: One Europe, the same Europe but with its regions and Nationalities, everyschool deal with aspects of their regions and countries
Teacher Concha Generelo (Latin Department) and Pilar Martinez-Sapiña (English department) travelled in January to Sosnowiec (Poland) to meet teachers from schools taking part. Teachers from all te other countries  travelled to Huesca in May.

    Multicultural, Multinational Europe
The same Europe but with its regions and nationalities. Democracy is the starting point of our project. We can't talk about freedom and rights without Democracy, and Democracy means tolerance. We are European Citizens but we aren't the same, we are different. The more we learn about the others the more we'll understand, this is the aspect we want to work in this first year project. We want to break stereotypes, we'll study our region, city, and all those aspects which make us different and comform our identity.

We start lessons at 8.30 and finish at 2.30. We have six periods and a break of half an hour from 11.15 to 11.45.
Lessons are OK and we have to study subjects like Maths, Geography, History, English, French, Latin, Greek, Philosophy ... it depends on the course you are.
We also have extra academic activities like theatre, sports and trips .
Education is compulsory until you are sixteen, then you study the ESO (enseñanza secundaria obligatoria) and then 2 years of Bachillerato .
Our school is not very big (326) students from 12 to 16, but it is nice
